The Value Based Parenting method gives parents the knowledge and tools to instill and reinforce solid principals and morals that their children can carry into adulthood. This method isn’t primarily about getting a child’s behavior under control, but rather, it’s about developing the child’s conscience and integrity - their values. Value Based Parenting is a positive and affirming way to teach healthy boundaries so children can begin to govern themselves as they get older. Children raised with this method learn to feel satisfaction and achievement in accepting responsibility, making wise choices, and contributing to the family structure. Value Based Parenting helps preserve and strengthen the integrity of the family unit through consistency, communication, and love.

As parents we spend a lot of time focusing on getting our children to and from activities, keeping them fed and groomed, and more importantly safe and alive. All of these are driven by our motivation. It’s important for us as parents to understand our children and what motivates them. In this class you will learn what drives us as human beings, including our children, and how that impacts us, our relationships, and how we see ourselves.
This class helps us to understand the root emotions that we experience every day, and how that emotional energy impacts our interactions. Not only do our emotions affect the relationships with our children, but also with our co-parents, school teachers, extended family, co-workers, and so on. Learning to create value with the emotional energy we experience within ourselves, our children, and homes is essential for every family.
Everyday we send our children out into the world wanting to keep them protected and safe; hoping they are able to stand firm against negative peer pressure. One of the biggest tools to keep our children safe is their confidence. Confidence is what gives a child the ability to say no, and the ability to stay true to their morals and values. This class teaches specific ways to create opportunities for children to build confidence in themselves and their abilities.
In relationships one of the first things to break down when times get tough is communication. Teaching children powerful communication tools gives them the ability to communicate during the easiest and toughest of times. Communication is paramount in developing a healthy loving relationship with your child. This fundamental skill will undoubtedly help you build a healthier foundation for strengthening the relationship between you and your child.
The basis of society is relationships. From the simple relationships we have with a neighbor to the more complex relationships of family. So often as parents we work to force our children in and out of behaviors, rather than teaching them the value of doing what they are doing giving them a reason to live the values we have set for our family. In this class you will learn the importance of creating a repor with each of your children to produce a relationship that will have the ability to move forward and work through difficult times.
We often demonstrate dependency on certain relationships in our lives. The relationships may be with our spouse, friends, co-workers or our children. When these dependencies are unhealthy, they affect the way our children learn to respond to their environment. In this class you will learn to empower your children to stand strong on their own two feet to create a foundation for healthy relationships and dependency.
The Core Values are a tool to help you and your children to govern yourselves, and to help make decisions. It is the governing system that is the corner stone of what makes Value Based Parenting work. The core values works as a compass to lead you in the direction you want to take your life and family. As you and your family create your 10 Core Values they go with you everywhere, unlike rules of the household that stay only within the household. The Core Values are what Value Based Parenting is all about… It is why we are doing what we are doing.
Family Council is the crux of Valued Based Parenting; it is the tool that holds all that we have learned and been working on together. It is where the application of everything from the previous seven classes takes place. In this class you will learn to create a venue within the home where every member has a voice, important events and calendaring are discussed, and lastly the Family Council is also used to develop solutions and consequences for issues occurring within the family and home.
